The Blue Sky Marathon will start and end at the Soderberg Trailhead at Horsetooth Mountain Park in Fort Collins, CO. The route will run between Horsetooth Mountain Park and the Devil’s Backbone Open Space with approximately 3,300ft of vertical gain. The majority of the trail is single track with a variety of terrain ranging from smooth dirt paths to very technical rocky sections. A small portion of the route will be on smooth dirt road and gravel bike path.
All entrants will receive a Smart Wool hat. All finishers who complete the marathon within the official 7 hour time limit will receive a unique finisher award. Post race food and refreshments and raffle prizes will be available for all participants.
The Blue Sky Marathon race will be limited to 100 runners. There will be no race day registration.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers and top male and female age group winners (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)

The Blue Sky Marathon trail races are organized by Blue Sky Events, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All proceeds will be donated to Larimer County for the enhancement and maintenance of parks and open space. Additional funds will be distributed to Larimer County Search and Rescue and other Northern Colorado outdoor and sports organizations.
Packet Pickup:
Race Morning 5:30am-6:30am: Marathon check-in at the Soderberg Trailhead. You MUST check-in to be officially entered into the race. You will only receive your race number now, goody bags will be handed out AFTER the race, so hold on to your number.
Registration Info:
Regular registration is $65.
Regular registration fees are valid through 8/31/2010.
If the event has not filled before the early registration deadline, late registration will increase $10.
